Chicken Wontons

Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Filling:
    • 1kg chicken (minced or finely chopped)
    • 5 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tbsp tapioca starch
    • Pepper
    • Spring onion, finely sliced
  • Glue:
    • 2 tbsp flour
    • 2 tbsp water

Method

  1. Combine all filling ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour and water to form a thick paste (this will act as glue).
  3. Place a teaspoon of filling in the centre of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle, pressing edges to seal.
  5. Bring the two top corners together, apply a small amount of glue, and press to seal into the classic wonton shape.
